Castle Crashers starts with a mysterious man snatching a large (and what I assume is also expensive) crystal and four lovely princesses from the King's throne. As one of the knights of the castle, it is your duty to retrieve the stolen goods and fair maidens. There's no dialogue, so you won't get more of a story than that unless you use your imagination.
Sketch Turner is an artist in New York City, One day while Sketch is drawing there is a huge thunderstorm and a bolt of lightning hits Sketch's image bringing it to life. That image is Mortus, a megalomaniac mutant who wants to become real and rule the earth. Mortus magically transports Sketch into the pages of his comic book so that he can end his creator's life and become real.
Costume Quest, The role-playing game situates twins Wren and Reynold on a Halloween night in their suburban town. One of the twins is kidnapped (the one you don't choose to play as) by candy-snatching monsters and it's off to save the night before you're grounded for life by your parents and Halloween is ruined.
An interesting title hit the PlayStation Network, namely an interactive "music visualizer" called .detuned. I say "music visualizer" in quotes because this is not the sort of thing that'll put rainbow-colored blobs on your screen that move to music. Instead, what you'll find is a guy in a chair surrounded by little creatures that look awfully similar to Domokun.
Dream Chronicles takes place in an ethereal world where the lines between reality and fantasy blur into an alternate world. Players take on the role of Faye, who wakes up from a strange dream only to find that her husband, Fidget, has been taken captive by the evil Fairy Queen of Dreams, Lilith, and must follow subtle clues to find her missing husband.
Flower, a PS3 downloadable that comes as a spiritual successor to flOw, is one of the most beautiful games that I've ever played. Not just because the visuals are entirely breathtaking, but also because the experience of playing it offers more enjoyment, emotion and enlightenment than any game I've tried in years.
